new version (3.4) of QTVRControlX ActiveX control uploaded, using the new JEDI QuickTime package that loads QuickTimeVR.qtx QuickTime component dynamically instead of statically. This takes a tiny fracture of extra time at application startup, but means that if QuickTime (or its QuickTimeVR component) are not installed, your application will still load succesfully

* no more static linking to "QuickTimeVR.qtx" (a QuickTime component DLL), so that applications using QT4Delphi controls don't fail at startup if QuickTime and/or QuickTimeVR is not installed - will upload new version soon, once I have the updated JEDI Quicktime libraries uploaded as well at the Delphi JEDI website

* now using two property pages, one with "QuickTime" and one with "QuickTimeVR" properties. At PowerPoint, the property pages dialog is accessible by right clicking the control in the design view and selecting the "QTVRControlX ActiveX control" item with opens up a submenu where you select "Properties". Use this instead of the "Properties" option of the popup menu shown when the object is right clicked in PowerPoint. This later action should show the "Property List" window of PowerPoint, but in PowerPoint2002 and PowerPoint2003 there's some problem (a crash). The Property Pages Dialog doesn't still contain all the available properties of the QTVRControlX ActiveX control, as they're shown at the properties list dialog, but I'll be add all of them to the property pages sooner or later (I've already added some more of them to the property pages at this version). Haven't tried the new version with PPT2002/PPT2003 yet, maybe now the "properties list window" works OK too. If not, just use the "property pages dialog" as I describe above.

* there seems to be a crash of PowerPoint 2003 (Office System 2003) when one select to see the "Properties window" for QTVRControlX. The custom properties pages of QTVRControlX seem to work OK though. The bug sounds like to be PowerPoint's, but have had similar feedback about a problem with Visual Studio.net 2003 (can't reproduce that one yet), so I'm still looking into it. If it occurs for you, please press the "send report" button at the crash dialog to send an automatic report to Microsoft, in case it's a PowerPoint bug (then they'll soon fix it via some patch at http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/default.aspx)
